"So Much Fun"
Perfect way to spend a day in the Barossa! Bikes were perfect for the terrain, the bike path runs through vineyards making for an easy scenic ride. Louis had great local knowledge and was able to give us maps and great advice for a day of wine tasting. Definitely a must do!
"Terrific Experience, Must Do!"
My fiancé and I had a great day cycling through vineyards. The operator was very helpful and had some great ideas on wineries and routes. We got to six wineries, a pub and Maggie Beers for lunch, everything is so close. We are two inexperienced bike riders and the roads/trails were terrific to ride for all levels and ages.
"Peddling Through Vineyards"
We had a wonderful day cycling between Tanunda and Angaston on one of the Barossa’s fantastic bike trails. Barossa Bike Hire’s Louis delivered our sturdy bikes equipped with baskets for collecting the tasty produce this part of the country is renowned for. Louis gave us some maps of the trails and handy tips to find the best route so we'd see some interesting sights and visit some wineries during tour. We followed his suggestions visiting the Barossa Farmers Market for coffee and a light breakfast. Having stocked up with fresh loaves, tasty small goods, cheese, various delicacies, vino and a supply of fragrant fresh fruit we cycled to Angaston where we set up camp to savour our impromptu picnic in a picturesque park and soak up the perfect South Aussie autumn weather shinning upon us. Our chosen route was designated as easy with a degree of difficulty just prior to reaching Angaston, an accurate description. As an inexperienced cyclist there were a couple of hilly sections which challenged me on the way but the return journey was a breeze going in a more downhill direction! Very happy with the quality of bikes, information, price and service provided by Barossa Bike Hire and definitely worthwhile incorporating some physical activity into a weekend which is focused is on life’s indulgences.
